Great Blue Heron
April 14, 2018On Thursday April 12th, 2018, I attended the formal unveiling of my sculpture “Great Blue Heron” at Piney Run Park in Carroll County MD. This was an exciting event for me, it was a culmination of almost two years of work. It began as a serious group effort between the Carroll County Arts Council, the Carroll County Recreation and Parks and myself to bring more public art to the southern part of the county. The amazing and generous grant from the Maryland State Arts Council allowed us to realize this installation. I was honored to be asked to make this sculpture and will enjoy visiting it as it is five minutes from my house!
